Tichý svět, o.p.s. (formerly APPN), is looking for a candidate for the position of speech-to-text transcriber for people with disabilities. The candidate will be trained in using the application for online interpreting and transcription — Tichá linka (Silent Line), which facilitates communication with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. During the training, they will learn not only about this application, but also about the world of the deaf and the specifics of communicating with them. Training will take place at the office in Prague-Podolí.
Job description:
- Online transcription of spoken language enabling communication between deaf people and government offices, hospitals, commercial and service points, etc.
- The service is provided from home with a clear monthly schedule (the schedule can be adapted to the applicant's health capabilities)
- Receiving incoming requests displayed in the application and processing them in order of urgency set by internal rules
- Maintaining simple administration related to providing the service
- Participating in regular meetings with Silent Line team colleagues to share experiences and receive feedback and professional support
Requirements:
- Ability to type quickly using all ten fingers
- Good knowledge of the Czech language and grammar
- Pleasant telephone manner, reliability, ethical approach
- Completed secondary education
- Advanced computer skills
- Clean criminal record
