Parking Card as Motorway Vignette Continues
ČSH

You are increasingly asking us about the situation with motorway vignettes from 1 January 2021 for holders of parking cards and ZTP or ZTP/P disability cards. Currently, we use the parking card also as a motorway vignette. It can be used in any vehicle, but only in the presence of the card holder.
According to a statement from the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NRZP), nothing changes for holders of parking cards who also hold ZTP or ZTP/P disability cards, and next year the situation remains the same as this year. This means that if a person holds a ZTP or ZTP/P card and also has a parking card, they still do not need to purchase an electronic motorway vignette and can continue to transfer their parking card from one car to another as before. This means that nothing changes at all. We would only like to point out that if the journey is not related to the ZTP or ZTP/P card holder and such a vehicle does not have an electronic motorway vignette, the vehicle operator may be fined. The NRZP will negotiate with the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure and the Ministry of Transport about how the entire system should be set up for persons with disabilities from 2022. Given that the check on whether vehicles have a paid electronic motorway vignette will be carried out by cameras, a situation may arise where vehicles of ZTP and ZTP/P card holders will be more frequently checked on motorways, because the system will immediately report that such a vehicle does not have a paid vignette. It is necessary to bear this in mind and have all documents with you. We will of course inform you in due time about how the system will work from 2022.
