Minutes of the CSH Council Meeting 9 February 2013

The CSH Council met via teleconference. Present: Vladimír Dolejš, Martin Bohůn, Václav Tóth, Petr Grim; Michal Skořepa sent his apologies; technical connection issues prevented Jana Kalábová from participating.
The following items were discussed:
- The EHC congress agency distributed the profit from the Prague congress. The association received a profit of CZK 1,492,171.
- The CSH General Assembly is planned as part of the "Together about Haemophilia" workshop in Vráž u Písku for all CSH members. The preliminary date for the two-day event is September 2013.
- V. Dolejš will obtain more detailed information about the venue from P. Salaj
- M. Bohůn will invite speakers from the pain management department and physiotherapists
- P. Grim will invite speakers from the social services field
- The programme and further details will be discussed by the Council at its next session (expected date: March 2013)
- An elbow CPM device at UHKT is sitting unused; in Hradec and Brno, CPM devices are already in regular operation.
- The association chairman informed about the problem of a haemophilia patient from the Ostrava HTC who was denied healthcare by the Brno CCC centre, under whose regional jurisdiction he falls. He was accepted into the care of Bulovka Hospital in Prague under the haematological supervision of UHKT. The CSH Council will address this matter with the CNHP committee.
The CSH Council further decided:
- to reimburse travel costs for all participants of the rehabilitation stay in Lednice
- prices for the Summer Haemophilia Camp remain the same for this year as in 2012, i.e., haemophilia patients and participants with von Willebrand disease CZK 3,800, others CZK 4,600
- not to proceed with the newly planned "Together about Haemophilia" exhibition with Bayer. The Council proposes expanding the existing exhibition to other haemophilia centres and using the funds for CSH projects (adult rehabilitation stays, children's camp, Haemophilia Day)
- the next issue of the Haemophilia Newsletter is planned for May 2013. The newsletter will already contain more detailed information about the planned Conference and workshop in Vráž u Písku
- a discussion took place regarding candidates for the CSH Annual Award
- For this year's World Haemophilia Day celebrations, the Baťa Canal is being considered. M. Bohůn will explore the options; V. Dolejš will discuss possible financing with pharmaceutical companies.
- Some sections of the CSH website are gradually being filled with English translations.
- M. Bohůn and V. Tóth presented a proposal to establish the position of CSH Secretary, to be held by one of the CSH Council members. To be discussed at the next Council meeting. Recorded by: M. Bohůn
