Summer Hemophilia Camp 2022
ČSH

The summer hemophilia camp will take place from Monday, July 25 to Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Borovinka recreational facility near Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.
Unfortunately, we were unable to agree on dates with our long-established facility in Zubří, so we had to find an alternative. We eventually found one not far from Zubří. The team of counselors and medical staff will welcome campers on Monday, July 25, and the stay will end on Friday, August 5. The dates are somewhat unusual, but we are still glad to have eleven days.
The program leader will be Daniel Šimek, and organizational matters will be handled by Czech Hemophilia Society deputy leaders Marek Šimoník and Martin Bohůn. Medical supervision will again be provided by the Brno University Hospital under the leadership of Doc. Jan Blatný and Mgr. Marie Katzerová. This time, our base will be a solid building where we will have catering, a medical room, individual rehabilitation, and a common room for camp activities. The facility offers a swimming pool, sports fields, mini-golf, and above all the beautiful landscape of the Vysočina highlands (near forests and an adjacent pond).
Due to overall price increases, accommodation fees have risen. The cost per person is CZK 1,100/day. The Czech Hemophilia Society Board has approved the traditional three tiers:
- CZK 4,500 for participants with hemophilia or Von Willebrand disease
- CZK 6,000 for their siblings
- CZK 12,100 for other participants
Fees are structured to benefit participants with hemophilia or Von Willebrand disease. The camp fee includes:
- Accommodation, meals (5x daily + all-day beverages)
- Basic accident insurance
- Transportation for trips
- Overall camp operations
Registration for the camp is available via this form. Within 14 days of submitting the form, you will receive an email confirmation that your registration has been recorded. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us at the email address m.simonik@hemofilici.cz or by phone at 608 294 360. The registration deadline is May 31; however, if you are interested in attending the camp, do not delay your registration. Due to limited facility capacity, we may be forced to stop accepting registrations! Children who have completed at least the first grade of primary school may attend the camp; the upper age limit is 18. As is traditional, we are preparing group transportation from Prague, and if there is sufficient interest, also from Ostrava with stops on the outskirts of Olomouc and Brno.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us using the contact details above.

Some trade unions also offer contributions for summer camps.
Contribution for organized child recreation - NOS PČR (nospcr.cz)
If you are a trade union member, ask your representative directly about possible contributions.
Contribution from Social Benefits
Under certain circumstances, a contribution for a children's camp can be obtained through extraordinary immediate assistance benefits. Socially and financially disadvantaged families can apply at their local Labour Office. Approval or rejection of the contribution is entirely at the discretion of the officials. The funds must always be used to cover justified costs related to the education or leisure activities of a dependent child. The state covers the full cost of the children's camp; however, the contribution per child must not exceed ten times the subsistence minimum (CZK 38,600).
You can find more information about the application for extraordinary immediate assistance. Or download and fill in the forms.
