Minutes of the CSH Council Meeting of February 20, 2012

The Council again worked in the form of a teleconference. The Skype conference of the CSH Council was attended by all members, namely Chairman Vladimir Dolejs, Vice-Chairman Martin Bohun, Vaclav Toth, Petr Grim, Michal Skorepa, and Jana Dvorackova.

The following items were discussed:

  1. The correspondence exchange of opinions with SUKL (State Institute for Drug Control) regarding the availability of home treatment has been published on the website www.hemofilici.cz

  2. The financial report for 2011 was prepared by V. Toth and has been published on the website.

  3. The logo design for the Prague EHC Congress 2012 will be commissioned from a professional graphic design agency in Ostrava, with which the Society has had excellent experience in the past.

  4. Intensive negotiations are underway regarding the April World Hemophilia Day celebrations with the company Novo Nordisk, which has taken on the financing. Due to a conflict between the previously proposed options and the financial limit, no definitive decision has been made yet, but clarity is expected in the coming days so that Society members can be informed in time.

  5. The South Bohemian workshop "Together about Hemophilia" will take place in April 2012 in Vraz near Pisek. CSH will invite P. Salaj and V. Vonke as medical expert guarantors. An orthopedist, physiotherapists, and a social worker will again participate.

  6. On April 21, under the auspices of the Pediatric Hematology Department of Brno University Hospital, specifically local physician S. Kohlerova, a meeting of parents and pediatric patients of the department will take place. CSH is also a co-organizer.

  7. Web hosting for the new website www.hemofilici.cz has been paid for, and changes and content for the new pages are being finalized. M. Bohun will send the proposed website design to Council members for approval.

  8. The Council has requested financial support and grants from Siemens and Weil companies for the summer hemophilia camp with possible participation of Romanian children.

  9. Prices for accommodation and meals for the stay in Lednice remain the same as in 2011. It will take place from May 18-26, 2012, and approximately 50% of the capacity is currently filled with interested participants.

  10. The first Hemophilia Newsletter of the year should be published before the summer holidays. However, publication depends on financial support for publishing activities from the Ministry of Health.

  11. V. Toth will monitor information about the allocation of state institution grants for 2012 and will immediately inform the CSH Council about them.
