Summer Camp Information Update

Due to the sudden closure of the Zubri Recreation Centre, which we reported on in early February, we were forced to seek an alternative way to hold the 2019 Summer Haemophilia Camp. The good news is that we have found a solution and the camp will take place, but we had to make several compromises. The key change is the new camp dates — it will now run from July 28 to August 8, 2019. This is a shortened period from Sunday to Thursday; instead of the traditional two weeks, the camp will last 11 days. The location remains in the Vysocina region — Pension Safrankuv Mlyn (www.safrankuvmlyn.cz) will host us. Accommodation will this time be in a building, but the grounds will provide ample opportunities for outdoor activities (the facility is situated in a secluded spot surrounded by nature), as well as space for medical facilities and physiotherapy, including a private swimming pool.

Due to the higher prices at this facility, the CSH Council decided to keep the participation fee at the same level as originally announced, despite the shortened duration of the camp. The fees are as follows:

CZK 3,300 for participants with haemophilia or von Willebrand disease
CZK 5,300 for their siblings
CZK 7,560 for other participants

Included in the price:

Transport of children from and to Prague, and from Ostrava and Olomouc if there is interest
Accommodation, meals (5 meals per day + all-day beverages)
Basic accident insurance
Transport for trips
Overall camp operations

Organized transport from Prague remains in effect despite the change in date and location. Transport from Ostrava (with a possible stop on the outskirts of Olomouc) will also be arranged if there is sufficient interest.

Registration is available electronically by filling in the form. Please fill in all details in the registration form carefully. Registrations already submitted via the form remain valid, and parents of registered children will also receive updated information by email. Within 14 days of submitting the form, you can expect an email confirmation that we have recorded your registration. The registration deadline has been extended to March 31, 2019; however, if you are interested in attending the camp, do not delay with your registration.

Registered participants will receive more detailed information about the camp, transport, payments, etc. during April.
