What Is Home Healthcare?
ČSH

This is something we are not accustomed to in our country. Abroad, however, such a service has existed for a long time and has proven its worth. Now it is available to our members as well, who can make full use of it. More detailed information about a specific agency can be obtained through the Society. Not everyone is able to self-administer the necessary concentrate, or a temporary indisposition may prevent it. Or another intervention by a qualified nurse may be needed, such as a dressing change, a check-up, or help with rehabilitation. All of this at home, without having to travel to a healthcare facility. Just call and professional help will come to your door.
Importantly, the entire process is fully covered by public health insurance — the client pays nothing. In the coming weeks, special training of relevant regional agencies is underway so that their nurses are able to provide the best care specifically tailored to haemophilia patients. Baxter will organize training in all regions where the need is demonstrated.
It is now up to our members to indicate where specifically staff need to be trained. The goal is to cover the entire country so that the service remains truly accessible to everyone. We therefore ask you to let us know who is interested in the service, so that we — or rather Baxter — can find and train suitable agencies. Simply contact any of the Society's contacts and let us know what specifically you need. It does not have to be tomorrow, but in the future such help may come in handy. So do not hesitate and sign up. The first training session already took place in mid-June in Brno, and further sessions will follow depending on demand.
We are pleased that we can offer something like this in cooperation with our sponsors. It is another step towards approaching the common European standards that apply to both adults and children.
