Vráž Spa through the photographic lens of people with haemophilia
ČSH

In recent days, almost twenty people with haemophilia, this time not only those with inhibitors, headed to the Vráž spa facility near Písek. It has become a tradition for people with haemophilia to meet in Vráž twice a year -- in spring and autumn. The week-long intensive rehabilitation programme includes group and individual exercises, hydrotherapy, and educational lectures by leading experts. This time was no different.
Everyone was superbly and carefully looked after by the local staff. Thanks to the presence of a nurse, the stay could also be taken advantage of by those who depend on daily care from home care agencies. The entire organisation of the stay is managed by the Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion in Prague with the support of Novo Nordisk. Our organisation also lends a hand. In connection with the approaching World Haemophilia Day, we decided, in cooperation with Novo Nordisk, to organise a haemophilia awareness event at the local spa. In agreement with the spa management, we displayed photographs taken by people with haemophilia themselves during previous stays. The exhibition is accompanied by information about the disease, the importance of physiotherapy, and also mentions the activities of the Czech Hemophilia Society and the Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. The photographs will be on display at the spa throughout April.
Another event connected with World Haemophilia Day will be its celebration at Landek Park in Ostrava, to which we warmly invite you. More information here.
