Michal Šťastný - Annual Award Laureate for 2012
ČSH

This year, the Board has awarded the third annual society award.
The first one was received for 2010 by MUDr. Zdena Vorlová, the founder of modern hemophilia care in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The second, a year later, went to the already several times mentioned František Vondryska, who dedicated an enormous part of his life to the hemophilia movement in our country. The third laureate became Michal Šťastný, the first chairman of the society, who is credited with the society's admission to the WFH and who also accomplished a significant amount of work in favour of home treatment. He has not been active in the society's bodies for a long time, but his role can never be erased from history. This practically exhausts the key figures who have the greatest credit for establishing everything around us, and the next laureate will certainly be chosen from among currently active individuals.
