New CSH Bylaws 2025

At the CSH Conference held on 8 November 2025 in Jihlava, new bylaws and organisational rules for the Czech Hemophilia Society were approved. The draft bylaws were consulted with a lawyer specialising in non-profit organisations.

Key Changes

• Supreme body = General Assembly (formerly Conference). It can now be held remotely or by written resolution (per rollam), and procedural rules are set by the Board unless the General Assembly adopts its own rules of procedure/electoral rules.

• Financial oversight: instead of a three-member Audit Committee, there will now be a single Auditor elected by the General Assembly.

• Board powers are more clearly defined: it approves internal regulations, budget and financial statements, decides on membership admission and termination, manages financing, projects, and contracts.

• Membership fees: payment deadline remains 30 June; the Board now sets the fee amount; non-payment after a reminder may lead to expulsion.

• Minors: the application is submitted by a legal guardian, the child becomes the member; upon reaching adulthood, the Board informs them of their rights and options.

• Purpose and mission of the society
• Members' right to vote and be elected
• Standard organisational structure
• Fee payment deadline of 30 June

Why Change the Bylaws?

The main reason is to simplify member participation in the society's activities without requiring physical presence. Another significant change is the reduction from a three-member audit committee to a single auditor, which simplifies administration and addresses the shortage of candidates for this position.
