    April Full of Celebrations

    World Hemophilia Day celebrations are approaching -- here is more detailed information. On the actual day, Thursday 17 April, a procession raising awareness about hemophilia will pass through part of Prague. It will start from Palackeho namesti at 4:00 PM, where you will find a clearly red and highly visible stand. The procession, led by ambassador Jana Dolezelova, should last approximately 50 minutes, culminating at the fountain on Namesti Kinskych in Smichov.

    Full Steam Ahead

    After successful events with go-karts, in a western town, a medieval fortress, or a cruise on the Bata Canal, this time we will take to the railway tracks and celebrate World Hemophilia Day together. The format will be similar to last year's "nautical" theme, only the navy blue will be replaced with railway colours. The programme, good food, and drinks will remain, but in a different setting.

    Summer camp in the Vysočina Highlands

    The final decision has been made about the venue for the children's summer camp. From the Beskydy mountains and forests, we are heading to the very heart of the Vysočina Highlands. The Ondrášův dvůr Recreation Centre will be replaced by Zubří near Nové Město na Moravě, which we hope will be equally successful for us.

    The "I Support Haemophilia Treatment" Campaign Has Launched.

    We Are Looking for Physiotherapists

    The association has cooperated for many years with a team of physiotherapists who participate in reconditioning programs for both children and adults and know their work perfectly. From time to time, however, the team changes - for various reasons, such as studies or family - some leave. Their numbers then need to be replenished, as the need remains the same. We are currently looking for new candidates again. We would like to reach out to potential candidates interested in working with hemophilia rehabilitation and participating in residential programs. The nearest opportunity will be the adult reconditioning program in Lednice, South Moravia, from 16 to 24 May.

    The Pharmacokinetics Project Is Getting Underway

    As we promised in the latest Newsletter, the Czech Hemophilia Society together with the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in Prague is launching the possibility of determining the survival and clearance curve of administered clotting factors in adults. Anyone who requests it in agreement with their center can sign up. Pharmacokinetic tests have been very popular worldwide recently, and for good reason. Every organism reacts differently to the administered factor, and the dosage and frequency are determined accordingly. According to research, almost nobody has their dosing right when following a standard regimen.

    Art Competition "What Is Your Dream"

Children from all World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) member countries can enter the competition in three categories.
