Following the Tracks of the Oslavany Permons...
ČSH

Just a few kilometres southwest of Brno lies an area that this year became a refuge for all those who decided to come and celebrate World Hemophilia Day. A day full of relaxation, discovery, fun, victories, and adventure awaited them. We're talking about the Permonium amusement park. It was created based on Oslavany legends on the grounds of the former Kukla coal mine, where six mysterious permons (mine spirits) have lived since ancient times - Starohorský, Bouchal, Zaklášterský, Vinohradský, Kovářova kopce, and Kopce Koblihu. The park is suitable not only for families with children, but visitors of all ages can find something enjoyable here. And so, once again after a year, traditionally thanks to Novo Nordisk, we had the opportunity to meet "our own" and experience an extraordinary day full of adventures and new discoveries.
The programme was truly diverse for everyone: a tour of the site with the headframe tower offering beautiful views of the surroundings, or the interactive game "Magic Permon" and the challenges of the Oslavany permon trails. Children could colourfully dress up the Permon character and colour a large paper heart for anyone they wished. The theatre group Kejkle entertained us with a cheerful story about why it's good to be careful what you wish for. In the outdoor area, children could play in a bouncy castle house - simply fun wherever you looked. Once again, many of us gathered, a total of 110, from families with small children to adults. Some arrived in wheelchairs, others on crutches - the barrier-free access of the site made it possible. Everyone found something to enjoy, and the excellent facilities of the Atrium allowed us to spend time in pleasant surroundings. Everyone found a way to have fun, or simply sit and chat over good refreshments.
This year's World Hemophilia Day theme was focused on women. Not only those who endure the hardships of congenital bleeding disorders, but also those who deal with hemophilia daily in their loved ones, to whom they devote their time and energy. Therefore, at the opening ceremony, the attention, along with a floral gift, was focused primarily on all the ladies present, and a sweet treat was reserved for them at the end.
The day at Permonium was a success, although the weather was not particularly kind to the participants and at one point we were even sprinkled by a light rain shower. Even so, we left Oslavany's Permonium in the evening with smiles on our faces. Some with the determination to return, as they hadn't managed to fit in everything they wanted in the packed programme.
And where will the coming years take us? Let's wait and see. Some participants' wishes are interesting, for example the summit of Mount Chomolungma...
