Podcast with Martin Bohůn

What is the key to a fulfilling life with this rare disease? "It is important to accept it as part of your life, consistently follow your treatment, and have someone to turn to for help and support," says the chairman of the Czech Hemophilia Society and guest of the third episode of the podcast Na vlastní žíly, Martin Bohůn. He discussed his personal experience with the disease and his work for the hemophilia community with the show's host Michal Bereň.

Martin Bohůn comes from a family with a hereditary occurrence of hemophilia. His two young nephews also suffer from the same condition, and he serves as a great role model and support for them in managing their treatment. As chairman of the Czech Hemophilia Society, he also strives to help other people with hemophilia and their loved ones. He advocates for the use of modern technologies to support treatment and draws inspiration from visits to affiliated organisations abroad when organising activities for the Society.

In the third episode of the podcast, you will learn, among other things, how assistance for hemophilia patients worked during the coronavirus pandemic and how to stay motivated to follow your treatment. Martin Bohůn also answers questions received through patient organisations and the Liberate Life Facebook page, and presents the Society's plans for the coming months and years, including one big wish...
