Annual Conference at a Spa? Why Not?

This has never been done before. The supreme body of the association always met in Prague, with venues changing over time. This time, a radical change is taking place - we are leaving the capital and moving the meeting venue southward. Specifically to the Vráž Spa near Písek, and it is free of charge for members and their companions.
As the CSH Council has already informed all members by letter, the Conference will take place on the weekend of 14 and 15 September. Everyone will be a guest of the association, and this applies not only to members themselves but also to one companion each. Whether it will be a wife, partner, daughter or son does not matter. The offer applies to one companion, but if more people come with a member, they will not be left out. They will just have to pay the costs themselves; here are the prices listed (children under 10 attend free of charge):

Lunch **CZK 100**We will all meet on Saturday morning, followed by a communal lunch and the programme. The most important part is, of course, the agenda of the Annual Conference itself. It will include the usual report on activities, finances, news in the life of the association, and also a discussion. We place particular emphasis on the discussion - the CSH Council welcomes any comments and suggestions from members.
Although the statutes do not yet require it for this year, we have decided to declare the Conference an electoral one ahead of schedule. Since we hope to gather in large numbers at such a special and costly occasion, we will take advantage of it. The elections will produce a new CSH Council that will lead the association for the next term. Candidacies can be submitted on the spot, but it is better to notify the current Council in advance so that everything is properly prepared for the elections. We therefore ask everyone who wants to participate in running the association to express their interest and join the list of candidates. It is a thankless role - council members rarely receive recognition - but everyone can take comfort in knowing they did something for their fellow members, that they devoted effort to others. And perhaps someone will return the favour one day. Signing up for the candidate list is simple - just express your intention by email, phone or post. We believe there will be enough candidates and that there will be no need to worry that the association will be left without leadership.
After the meeting, there will be a professional programme where everyone will be able to meet with a haematologist, orthopaedist, physiotherapist, pain management specialist and a social issues expert. We believe everyone has some minor problem and will appreciate the opportunity to consult privately with an expert or learn necessary exercises. In addition, spa full body massages, bubble baths and floating will be available. Everyone can easily find details at www.lazne-vraz.cz.
In the evening, a barbecue on the terrace awaits everyone, providing ample space for personal meetings, conversations among old friends and the like. On Sunday morning after breakfast, those interested will head to Zvíkov Castle, and after the tour they will have lunch at the local brewery and taste local beer. That concludes the programme, so it will be possible to head home during Sunday afternoon.

II. Participant (spouse; partner; family member)
From these, we will determine how many rooms and of what type we need to order. The vast majority are double rooms, with only a very limited number of single rooms available. Double rooms are naturally more economical, so please prefer this option.

As we have already mentioned, association members and one companion each have everything free of charge; additional companions must cover the costs themselves. That is why the questionnaire is designed to make it clear how many people each member will bring.
We have set the registration deadline for 5 August 2013, because the spa naturally needs to know everything in advance and we expect quite a large number of guests. So do not hesitate and express your interest as soon as possible, by 5 August 2013 at the latest!
