Minutes of CSH Council Meeting, 4 November 2014

Minutes of the CSH Council meeting on 4 November 2014 in Vráž. Present: Martin Bohůn, Vladimír Dolejš, Petr Grim, Jana Kalábová, Michal Skořepa, Václav Tóth, Anastassiya Žídková.

The CSH Council discussed the following items:

  1. The Council decided to publish a double issue of the Newsletter before the end of 2014. The deadline for texts is 15 November.
  2. Chairman Vladimír Dolejš informed the Council about a request from Bayer for reimbursement of the amount for identification cards. The CSH has already sent the payment to the manufacturing company.
  3. The Council agreed that the annual report for 2013 will not be prepared. The annual report for 2014 will be created by Chairman Vladimír Dolejš, with the financial section provided by Václav Tóth. The preliminary deadline for completing the annual report is February 2015.
  4. The fee for the adult rehabilitation stay in Lednice is set at two levels - one for members and one for non-members of the association. Details will be published in the Newsletter. The same applies to the children's summer camp fee, where the fee will differ for a child with a bleeding disorder, their siblings and others.
  5. Anastassiya Žídková informed the Council that Botanicus is unable to close its grounds to the public, making it impossible to hold the World Haemophilia Day celebration there in April 2015. Council members will approach other venues where the Haemophilia Day celebration could be held.
  6. CSH member Bedřich Smrčka created a questionnaire regarding intravenous factor administration. It is intended for doctors and nurses, and the responses are to help preserve venous access as much as possible. The Council will supplement the questionnaire and approach CSH members with a request to distribute it to all centres. It could be combined with a repeat of the survey "How Czech Haemophilia Patients Live".
  7. The Council decided to send USD 300 to the World Federation of Hemophilia as a donation to the "Close the Gap" campaign, which finances basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the world's poorest countries.
