Women and rare bleeding disorders
ČSH

On the occasion of International Women's Day, we are sharing EHC information on how a woman can recognise that she may be suffering from a rare bleeding disorder and should consult a doctor.
An easy-to-apply rule is 7-2-1, which describes the course of menstruation. If your period lasts 7 days or longer, you need to change menstrual products more frequently than once every 2 hours, and blood clots larger than a 1 EUR coin appear, you should pay attention and consult your condition with a doctor. Many women have come to terms with heavier menstruation because, for example, they know it from their family, and it never occurs to them that it could be a sign of a bleeding disorder. However, professional diagnosis is very important, as it is essential information for doctors when dealing with traumatic conditions or even seemingly trivial procedures that can lead to bleeding complications.
