Physiotherapy for People with Hemophilia

It goes without saying that exercise heals. This brochure is an excellent guide to selected exercises suitable for people with hemophilia as well as other individuals with bleeding disorders. It contains exercises that should be feasible for most of you despite the individual nature of your specific condition.

It is divided into four chapters on physiotherapy:

  1. after acute bleeding,
  2. preventive exercises in childhood,
  3. maintenance exercises,
  4. after joint replacement.

The Society collaborated on this successful work with the long-established physiotherapist Mgr. Marie Katzerova. The brochure also includes a USB drive with selected exercises and recommendations. By regularly following the exercise plan, you will certainly experience the benefits of regular physical activity. You can do your rehabilitation at home or visit a physiotherapy unit at a hemophilia treatment center or a regional rehabilitation facility. A wider range of exercises can be found, for example, in the "red" book by Kathy Mulder, published by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), which is also still available to you.
