Podcast with Marie Katzerová
ČSH

For an active and fulfilling life for hemophilia patients, not only consistent application of clotting factor is important, but also regular exercise, including activities focused on joint health care. In the seventh episode of our podcast Na vlastní žíly, we discussed the indispensable role of physiotherapy in preventing and treating joint problems with physiotherapist Marie Katzerová.
Marie Katzerová is encountered not only by patients visiting the hemophilia centre at Brno University Hospital, but also by participants of events organised by the Czech Hemophilia Society and Hemojunior. Marie is also the organiser of physiotherapy activities at the much-loved summer hemophilia camps, and her work even extends beyond the borders of the Czech Republic. As a member of the physiotherapy committee of the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD), she coordinates activities related to building a network of physiotherapy care not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
