13/12/2021Starting in 2009, the CSH Council decided to bestow its Annual Award. The recipient of the Annual Award was chosen by the Council based on nominations. The Annual Award is an expression of recognition and gratitude from the haemophilia community to the person who has contributed the most through help, ideas, performed an exceptional deed, or conversely worked for a long time for the benefit of those in need. The laureate can be anyone from among healthcare professionals, members, sponsors, representatives of official institutions, supporters - in short, anyone who deserves the gratitude of the association and its members for their extraordinary achievement or long-term effort.

Jihlava Intergenerational Meeting Accompanied by the CSH Conference
02/11/2021The autumn period has always been marked by preparations for the Intergenerational Meeting in previous years. It fosters mutual understanding, respect, breaks down barriers and prejudices, but above all brings joy regardless of age. Both organisations — the Czech Hemophilia Society and Hemojunior — have decided to invite all members to Jihlava again, from 26 to 28 November. Despite the not overly optimistically developing situation and in light of new anti-epidemic measures, we firmly believe that we will ultimately meet face to face. The EA Business Hotel will once again provide us with a venue, where the CSH Conference with the election of new leadership will also take place at the conclusion of the Intergenerational Meeting. It goes without saying how important this event is, and therefore we would like to invite all of you most cordially. For those of you who will not be able to attend the Intergenerational Meeting, we would like to note that the CSH Conference is planned for Sunday, 28 November, starting at 9:00 AM.

Despite these experiences, he is a great life optimist, and as he says himself, thanks to modern medicines his great life dream finally came true.

Rhodes 2021
03/08/2021Shortly after publishing the article about the trip to Greece, we received two more contributions from participants. It is not often that an event generates so many written responses, and since we value each one, we are presenting them in a new article. Adding them to the original one could risk them being overlooked. So this is not information about another trip, as a different article title might suggest.

Greece 2020
28/07/2021The title of this article is not entirely wrong. The original plan was to organise the trip last year. However, just like the Olympians, we had to wait, and with a touch of nervousness about what might still happen during the stay, we set off on 8 July to the Greek island of Rhodes. We spent a wonderful week there, which I do not need to describe at length, as the contributions from participants that follow this introduction speak for themselves about the great time we had.
